Jeanette Ward's positions versus her opponent's on the major issues.

“The truth is, that Representative Jeanette Ward is a solid conservative, and she has a proven track record of sponsoring legislation to directly protect your individual liberties.” - David Iverson, Cowboy State Politics
ISSUE: Life
JEANETTE WARD: Endorsed by Wyoming Right to Life, Jeanette is pro-life from conception to natural death, no exceptions. In rape or incest, the child is a victim. Murdering him/her is immoral and unnecessary. We must move away from this culture of death and toward a culture of life. We are better than this.
Opponent: Pro-life with exceptions—“similar to former President Trump”— according to the Facebook conversation below. Trump supports exceptions for rape, incest and the life of the mother (refer to the Truth Social post by President Trump below). Beyond that, Jarvis has no known public statement regarding any other limits on abortion. Jarvis is NOT endorsed by Wyoming Right to Life.

ISSUE: Family
JEANETTE WARD: 100% parental rights. The most “local control” of all is parents. Introduced HB0087 in 2023 to strengthen parents’ rights and prevent educators from showing sexually explicit materials to children.
Opponent: No record of advocating for parental rights, but exhibits the impulse to deny them. This is demonstrated in two clear cases. First, she chaired the Reconsideration Committee of unelected bureaucrats (refer to “ISSUE: Pornography” below) that voted to keep sexually explicit material in the libraries of Natrona County Schools against the stated will of parents who objected. Second, she was on the leadership team that forced masks on children during COVID (refer to “ISSUE: Medical Freedom” below).
ISSUE: 2nd Amendment
JEANETTE WARD: Endorsed by Gun Owners of America, Jeanette co-sponsored HB0125 to eliminate deadly gun-free zones.
Opponent: Supports deadly gun-free zones. From This is Laramie, “Wyoming Association of School Administrators [Jarvis is a school Administrator], representing the state’s superintendents, backs Governor Gordon’s veto of HB125, which sought to repeal gun-free zones.” Jarvis is NOT endorsed by Gun Owners of America.
ISSUE: Special Interests
JEANETTE WARD: Only the people of Wyoming. For the first time, a government employee union (Wyoming Education Association) has dropped two mailers in House District 57 criticizing Jeanette Ward. It may just be a coincidence, but her opponent is a public school administrator.
Opponent: Backed by a government employee union—Wyoming Education Association.
Endorsed by national, anti-Trump, big business, astro-turf Americans for Prosperity, spearheaded in Wyoming by a former Liz Cheney staffer, Amy Womak.
ISSUE: Protecting Women
JEANETTE WARD: Prime sponsor of “What is a Woman” act (HB0050) protecting biological women and girls.
Opponent: No record on protecting women and girls.
ISSUE: Medical Freedom
JEANETTE WARD: Sponsored bills to ban masks & vaccine mandates (HB0066); nullify CDC & WHO rule in WY (HB0143 and HB0091).
Opponent: Part of school leadership team that forced masks on children during the scamdemic. Jarvis was Director of Curriculum and Assessment, Fremont County School District 38, during COVID. As such, her influence in leadership would have been critical in assessing the decision to mask children and continuing to require masking of children until April 2021. (See Jarvis LinkedIn profile.)
ISSUE: Pornography
JEANETTE WARD: Sponsored HB0087 in 2023 to protect children from exposure to sexually explicit materials.
Opponent: Chaired committee that voted to keep sexually explicit material in schools. (Memorandum: Decision of Reconsideration Committee)
ISSUE: Property Taxes
JEANETTE WARD: Co-sponsored HB0127, HB0133 and HB0157 to provide meaningful property tax relief and reform.
Opponent: Benefits from higher property taxes as a government employee.
ISSUE: Spending
JEANETTE WARD: Voted against the biggest budget in Wyoming history (HB0001). Rated “Biggest Saver” by Evidence Based Wyoming.
Opponent: Benefits from increasing budgets in her position as a school administrator.
ISSUE: Residency
JEANETTE WARD: Came to Wyoming for freedom. Jeanette’s family moved to Wyoming in August 2021. The final straw in Illinois was when her daughter, who was a straight-A student, was threatened with out-of-school suspension for not wearing a mask. They decided they had enough and sought freedom in Wyoming.
Just before the final straw, Jeanette had run for the Illinois State Senate in District 25, which was a Republican district by 9 percentage points in the previous election where about 100,000 votes were cast. Narrowly losing the overall race by 1700 votes, one of the four counties covering the district had 8000 Vote-By-Mail ballots cast where the County Clerk neglected to verify signatures. Jeanette has suffered, first-hand, the consequences of a corrupted election system. Jeanette came to Wyoming and ran for office to fight to ensure that the people of this great state do not suffer the same fate of those in deeply corrupted Illinois.
Opponent: Left Wyoming for several years, several times. According to Jarvis’ LinkedIn profile, she left Wyoming to Connecticut for 6 years; returned to Wyoming for 6 years, left again to Connecticut for 6 years; and returned in 2017 to the present. Also, Jarvis moved into District 57 three months after Jeanette. Based upon Jarvis’ pattern, it looks like she may be overdue for leaving again.
ISSUE: Transparency
JEANETTE WARD: Stands by every vote she has made which are publicly available. Refer to her Facebook account, which she personally manages, to review the many OpEds and social media posts, where Jeanette openly discusses her votes. She is also willing to debate her opponent.
Opponent: No record for public scrutiny and vaguely worded views on her website. Additionally, Jarvis’ PhD Thesis on “Educators Creed on Vocabulary” is embargoed--unavailable to the public—until after the election.
Unwilling to debate Jeanette:

Also it appears that someone, besides Jarvis, is managing her Facebook page—or maybe Jarvis merely refers to herself in the third person.
